ABOUT 

Zoë Maltby (she/hers) is a writer, director, and actor based in London and NYC. Most recently, her podcast Bear Lake debuted on all streaming platforms. Her screenwriting work has also been recognized by the HamptonsFilm Screenwriters Lab, Cinequest, The Chain Film Festival, FilmQuest, and the Inroads Fellowship. She has worked extensively as a 1st and 2nd Assistant Director on projects ranging from branded content to indie pilots; as a producer, her work has premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival and Omeleto. She is currently in post-production on her second short film as a writer/director. 

 

Playwriting credits include The Factory (The Ugly Radio), my parents are here tonight (Access Theatre), Reunion (Off With Her Head Productions), and Oh Dracula, My Dracula (Hatchlings NYC).

 

Zoe’s acting credits include several short films and independent pilots, such as Innocent or Otherwise (LA Comedy Film Festival, Lighthouse Independent Film Festival), Cross Country (New York Short Film Festival) and Citizen Zero (dir. Veronica Rutledge). Selected theatre credits include Romeo and Juliet (Rabid Bat Theatre Company), Very Good American Love Story (Hudson Guild Theatre), Two Gentlemen of Verona (Monsterpiece Theatre Collective), The Great Parade of Upper Kennington (dir. Madeline Foster Bersin), and Mum, Mummy, Mother (Camden Fringe). 

She is also the voice of Naked Turtle Rum, which is objectively hilarious.
